Most of the information that is in our browsers are not that important. Therefore, cookies may expire and browsing history gets deleted. However, bookmarks get to stay; this is why browsers will always allow you to import and export bookmarks as well as create backups.
Numerous programs can convey your bookmarks to an HTML file. Some often do it locally, while others would require an outsider program, an extension or an add-on. There are many browsers which can import these HTML files. You can use this to place bookmarks within the browsers. Here are some strategies to import bookmarks to HTML files. You can also use this to import bookmarks from HTML files in other search engines such as Chrome, Firefox, IE, Opera and Edge.
Google Chrome
To import or to export your bookmarks in Chrome, tap the Chrome menu symbol at the upper right hand corner of your browser window, and go to Bookmarks, then Bookmarks Manager. Then, open the Bookmark Manager by clicking on the keys Ctrl + Shift + O.
The Bookmark Manager will then open on another tab. Tap Compose and select Export Bookmarks to HTML File. In the event that you’re getting an HTML file that you have, pick Import bookmarks from HTML File.

The box named Save As contains the present date. Investigate as to where you have to save this record and change the document name if you need to do so. Tap on Save.

Mozilla Firefox

Bookmarks will then be added, and you can add them to the Bookmarks Toolbar (left).
Tap the X button that is located in the upper right hand portion of the Library window so that you can close it.
Internet Explorer
To import or to export bookmarks, tap the star in the top picks icon. Tap the arrow on Add to Favorites.
Tap on the arrow icon on the right side of the Add to Favorites button.
Then choose Import and Export.
On the primary screen of the Import and Export Settings box, pick the Export to a File choice, or select Import From a File to get bookmarks from an HTML file, and snap Next.
Check Favorites and click Next.

Tap on Finish to close the Import and Export Settings box.
Microsoft Edge
There is no true method for bringing bookmarks to a HTML file in Microsoft Edge. Regardless of that, Edge will enable you to import bookmarks from IE, Chrome, and Firefox. If you have to back them up in an HTML file, there is a free third party application called Edge Manage that can do this function. We should start with the built in feature initially.
Click on the right of the toolbar the Hub button.
The pane will then slide out from the right side. Tap the star symbol on the toolbar at topmost part of the pain to show the Favorites, if they’re not showing up. Next, tap the Settings link.
Select the browsers where you will import bookmarks then click Import.
You will soon see an All done! message under the Import button.
To come back to the Favorites list, tap the Hub button close and to re-open it. Your imported bookmarks are put into Imported from folders and are not open on the Favorites Bar. Place Imported Files in the Favorites Bar the imported bookmarks.
We will now show you how to send and import bookmarks to HTML files using Edge Manage. Download Edge Manage and ensure that Edge is closed prior to installing and running Edge Manage.
Pick Favorites to send out. The default Top Folder will pick all Favorites.
To convey bookmarks to an HTML file, go to Data then Export to HTML File.
To get bookmarks from an HTML file that you have sent out from Microsoft Edge or some other browser, go to Data, then Import from HTML file.
The Save As box appears when you are importing to HTML. The file name will be bookmark.htm by default yet you can change it. Click save.
In case you are importing an HTML bookmark, choose the HTML file that is present on the Open box that shows then tap Open.

Opera
Opera does not have a built-in approach to send out bookmarks into an HTML file. However, an add-on alled Bookmarks Import and Export exists. You can visit the website for this add-on and then tap Add to Opera.
You can add the add-on on the toolbar on the address box. Click to open the add-on. But when you install the add-on, it opens on another tab spontaneously.
To bring out your Opera bookmarks, tap the Export button on the Bookmarks Import and Export add-on tab.
To import your bookmarks from a HTML file that you have sent out from Opera or some other browser, tap the Choose File button so that you can choose a HTML file that you can import in the Open box then tap the Import button.
When you bring out your bookmarks to HTML files, click Export then Save As. Think about where you should save this HTML file. As default, the File name is Bookmarks.html, however you can change the name, including data, for example, the date and the browser name. Tap “Save”.
A popup will show when the download of the bookmarks that were exported is finished and the quantity of bookmarks that were saved shows underneath the Import and Export box.
For you to close the Bookmarks Import and Export add-on, you may tap the X on the right portion of the tab.
If you have already imported your bookmarks, you will soon find that they are placed in a folder called Imported Bookmarks. You can then manage bookmarks on the Opera Menu, then Bookmarks, then Show all bookmarks.
Save the HTML bookmark file if you will be using it as a backup. Most browsers don’t have a roll back choice even if they can sync between computers. If you have erased your bookmarks accidentaly or if the sync has an error, you may lose your bookmarks. You can have a backup HTML file so that you can get them back.
