It’s all coming together.
In a new update that was recently found out, WhatsApp was found to be working on a new feature where users could react to the messages that were sent to them.
This is the same feature that we currently have on iMessages, Messenger, Instagram and Twitter.
According to multiple reports, WhatsApp’s new feature is still in the early stages of development and is currently under beta mode for some people.
Message reactions on WhatsApp are likely to be the same ones that we can currently see on Messenger, Facebook and Instagram, considering that they all fall under Facebook.
Right now, there are no official screenshots for the feature that is being developed, however, WABetaInfo confirmed that the feature is currently in testing mode.
A screenshot by WABetaInfo shows a message that says: “You received a reaction. Update your version of WhatsApp to see reactions.”
This message is received by a WhatsApp user when they do not have the beta version of the application where a particular feature is currently being tested out by the developers in order to receive feedbacks.
This also means that WhatsApp is testing the feature, which could be released for mass beta use in the upcoming weeks.
This is not the first time that WhatsApp have added multiple features on the platform this year.
Recently, the telecommunication application rolled out features such as disappearing pictures and videos along with users being allowed to join missed group calls.
All the features that we mentioned above are available on Android and iOS devices.
Another feature that is currently in tests is the capability of transferring chat history from iOS to android devices along with multi-device support.
