A lot of people prefer going with dark mode because they feel better to the eyes, but the thing is, not everyone is good with tech.

Turn on Dark Mode the easy way

First step: Swipe down

The first thing that you need to do is swipe down and open the control panel. You can do this by swiping down over the battery percentage section of your screen. Going down will help you open something that looks like this:

Second step: Brightness button

The second thing that you need to do is find and long press the brightness button that appears after you swipe down. The button should look like this:

Third step: Wait until further settings appear

The third thing that you need to do is wait until further settings appear after long pressing the brightness button. You should wait until something like this comes on your screen:

 

Fourth step: Click dark mode

The last step is click where it says “Dark Mode” after the further settings appear. It should be the first button that is present on your screen from left. After you click it, the button will change. It will also state if it has been turned on or not.

Turn on Dark Mode via settings

First step: Open settings

The first thing that you want to do is open settings, which you can access via the application that you can find on your home screen. Here is what it looks like:

The second thing that you want to do is search Dark Mode instead of going through the settings one by one. The search button is present to make things easier for you, that’s why we are going with that one.

Third step: Appearance

After hitting the enter button, you will find “Appearance” on the top left corner of your screen. You want to click that to turn on Dark Mode via settings.

Fourth Step: Click Dark

The last thing that you want to do is click Dark instead of Light in order to turn on Dark Mode via settings. After clicking it, you will notice everything in the background will turn black. Some applications will also copy this if they support Dark Mode.

Automatic Dark Mode During Night

Another benefit of doing it on your iPad is that you have the option of automatically having dark mode during night time.

First step: Open settings
