Google Announces Pixel 5a With A $449 Price Tag

The long wait is over.

Google has announced the latest and newest Pixel 5a smartphone and the thing with is that it’s eh and really amazing at the same time.

The phone has a speedy processor, an amazing camera system and is just priced at $449, which is unusual to see during such times.

First thing’s first, not everyone needs a smartphone that’s worth over $1000.

The average consumer only needs a mid-range phone, which is right for them and meets their needs. And this is where Google steps in.

Google wants to offer a strong budget phone to the world and to be honest, they have done a pretty decent thing with their latest release.

The Pixel 5a has a Snapdragon 765 5G, has 6GB of RAM and has 128GB of internal storage out of the box.

It is not as powerful as the full Pixel 5 phone, however, it can do all the things that it can.

Not only good internal specs, but it also has a 6.34 inch OLED bezel-less screen with a Full-HD+ resolution.

For some who might think that it does not have a huge screen, you’re wrong. This phone, despite being cheaper, has a larger display that is offered by Google on their more expensive Pixel 5 lineup. The only difference is that the Pixel 5a does not come with a higher refresh rate.

Let’s talk about battery now.

The Pixel 5a has a pretty decent and massive 4680mAh battery, which is again, larger than the Pixel 5’s battery.

One bold claim that Google is making right now is with their battery, where they said that the phone can last up to 48 hours if the user turns on Extreme Battery Saver option.

That’s hard to believe but we have to check it out once the phone gets released.

You think it’s over? Nope, there’s more.

The Pixel 5a is IP67 water and dust resistant, which is again a first in the A-series phones of Google.

The device will officially be released on August 26, 2021 and is currently up for pre-order in the USA and Japan.
