First step: Open a browser

Remember, you cannot deactivate your Instagram account while using the Instagram application itself. Instead, you are required to use a browser. So in order to begin, open a browser that is present on your device.

Second step: Click on this link

If you want to permanently delete your Instagram account, you want to click here. This link will redirect you to the permanent deactivation page that Instagram has. Remember, if you deactivate on that link, your Instagram will be deleted permanently.

Third step: Login

The third thing that you will have to do is login on your Instagram if the browser requires you to do such thing.

Fourth step: Deactivate

After you login, you will be redirected to the page, where you will be asked why you want to delete the account. Click on the reason that is closest to yours and enter your password. After that you will click on the link that says “Delete”.

Please keep in mind that Instagram gives you 1 month to activate your account again. If you decide to keep your account, all you have to do is login again via the Instagram application.
