Xiaomi is currently developing a tech that would allow you to charge your phone with sound

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. That’s the sound it would probably make.

Xiaomi is currently working on a new charging technology that would allow us to charge our phones without having to use a cord.

Yes, you read that right. Xiaomi is reportedly working on a technology that would allow its customers to charge their devices with just sound.

According to a report that was released by GizChina, Xiaomi, a tech giant, has recently applied for a patent with CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Administration), a state agency.

The news agency is claiming that the smartphone making company is working on a charging tech that is capable of charging your device with just sound.

Don’t really know how that would work but it’s China, they can do anything.

According to the report that was published by the news agency, the charging tech will be using 3 components, which includes a sound collection device, a plurality of energy conversion devices and a power conversion device.

The power conversion device is going to convert environmental vibration to mechanical vibration, which will be converted into alternating current.

The power conversion device will convert AC into DC.

The thing is, if Xiaomi makes this happen, the tech world will arguably receive the best piece of invention in the last 10 years or so. We humans would no longer need charging cables and fast adaptors anymore.

The news agency did not release any other information about the piece of tech that China is currently developing.

This comes after China recently announced 2 new chargers, which includes a 200w wired charger and a 120w wireless charger.

According to Xiaomi, their 200watt HyperCharge fast charging technology is capable of fully charging a 4,000mAh battery in less than 8 minutes.
