In the recent times, a lot of people have sent out complaints to WhatsApp, saying that there are a lot of people adding them in random group chats, meaning that their number is being found by people that they do not even know and other random people are seeing their private numbers.

Luckily, there are some things that you can do in order to stop this from happening in the future.

Below, we are going to list down some things that you can do in order to stop random people from adding you in random group chats.

First step:

The first thing that you want to do is open WhatsApp and click the three dots, which you can find on the top right corner of your display.

Second step:

 The second thing that you want to do after clicking the three dots is click where it says Settings, which should appear on a new menu.

Third step:

 The third thing that you want to do is click privacy.

Fourth step:

 After you click privacy, another set of options will appear, and you want to click where it says “groups”.

Fifth step:

 The fifth thing that you want to do is select from a ray of options, which are “Everyone, My Contacts and My Contacts Except”.

Sixth step:

 The last thing that you want to do is click “My Contacts”. Going with this one will mean that only people that you have in your contacts list are capable of adding you in groups. Random numbers will not have the authority to do such thing.

The steps are quiet simple but the benefits that they bring are just too much, especially in this digital era!
