Instagram tests out posting feature on desktop

The test continues!

Instagram is currently testing the ability to create posts using the web browser if you are using a computer or a laptop.

The news was shared by Matt Navarra, a social media consultant.

Matt shared screenshots of the new feature on Twitter. Here is the post:

The thing is, Facebook confirmed the test to Bloomberg through a statement.

Christine Pai, a spokesperson for the social media giant, said:

We know that many people access Instagram from their computer. To improve that experience, we’re now testing the ability to create a Feed post on Instagram with their desktop browser.

In the screenshots that Navarra shared, you can see that there are bunch of things that you can do on the desktop version.

Users will hopefully be able to select aspect rations, apply filters on the posts, and edit images via the basic editing options the social media giant offers.

The thing is, it is still in the testing phase, but if it does get added as a permanent options, it will be one major update, considering that you can directly share posts and images by using your computer.

The thing is, there are just a limited amount of things you can do on Instagram.

Despite being 11 years old, it took Instagram 10 years to add the direct messaging options on their browser version of the application.

Let’s hope more and more features will be added on the website version of the app in the near future.
