TikTok Users Can Now Post 3 Minute Long Videos

TikTok vids are about to get longer!

In a announcement that was made recently, TikTok, a Chinese-Owned social media platform, announced recently that they are now going to allow their users to post 3 minute long videos.

They are doing this to enhance content quality on the platform.

Before this, the platform only allowed its users to post videos that were just 1 minute long. But that’s changing.

Drew Kichhoff, the product manager of TikTok, said that the decision was made after taking a look at the feedback of the app’s users.

They said the new move is going to enhance the creative storytelling abilities of the application’s users.

In a statement that Kirchoff made, they said:

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be rolling out the option to create longer videos to everyone on TikTok, giving our global community the flexibility to film, upload, and edit videos up to three minutes in length directly within TikTok. With all the ways our community has redefined expression in under 60 seconds, we’re excited to see how people continue to entertain and inspire with a few more seconds — and a world of creative possibilities.

This is not the first move they had made this week.

On Wednesday, the application announced on social media that they have officially removed 65 million videos on their platform in just3 months due to rule violations.

Videos that included nudity and bullying were removed.
