Before we start, please remember that you are required to download and install Google Chrome on your desktop before you can set it up as you default browser.

First step:
The first thing that you would have to do is open up System Settings. You can do this by simply hitting the Windows key+I.
Second step:
The second thing that you want to do is click on Apps.
Third step:
The third thing that you want to do is find “Default Apps”. You can find this one on the left side of the pane.
Fourth step:
The fourth thing that you would have to do is find where it says Web Browser.
Fifth step:
The fifth thing that you would have to do is click on your current default browser and then scroll through the list that pops up there and select “Google Chrome”.
Sixth step:
The last thing that you would have to do is close settings and open Google Chrome, which should now be your default web browser.
