FaceTime is coming to Android devices and Windows via the browser

Some good news that we have all been waiting for!

Android and Windows users are now going to be capable of joining FaceTime calls, said Apple during its WWDC Keynote this year.

Earlier, Apple announced that FaceTime, a video calling application that is only available for Apple Users, is now going to be available on the web so all users can call in it.

This now means that Android devices and Windows PCs are now capable of joining calls via the browser.

Yes, no official application will be available for this one, you will be able to connect via the browser only.

Before this, FaceTime was only available on iOS and Mac devices.

Thanks to the iOS 15 update, which will be releasing this fall, Apple will be making FaceTime into a Zoom-like video calling service, but instead of having a different application that is downloadable, we have to use the browser.

After getting the update this fall, FaceTime is going to allow you to grab a link to a scheduled call so you can share it with people in advance. This allows anyone using any device, which currently includes Android and Windows devices, to join at the right time.

The new feature is not yet available to use, but it will be after iOS 15 drops in fall.

Not only that, but Apple also announced a number of other FaceTime updates that will be available for every Apple user to use after iOS 15 becomes available to download this fall.

A new grid option, voice isolation feature, spatial audio support, and the option to blur your background with “portrait mode” will be available after the official drop this fall.

That’s a lot of updates, right?

Well, that’s not all.
